Not long after Joseph graduated from the Applied Photography program at Sheridan College, he opened his first studio in East Hamilton. It didn't take long for Joseph to establish himself as one of the premiere photographers in the greater Hamilton area.
Having a strong commitment to the community, Joseph threw himself into community projects early in his career. He donated his services, photographs and a percentage of his sales to The Hamilton Childrens Hospital. Today he serves as a director on The Hamilton Training Advisory Board.
As he kept busy with his work and community commitments Joseph always found time to re-educate himself in new trends and technologies in the photographic field, which kept his work fresh and contemporary.
In 2004 while enjoying a great deal of success and popularity, Joseph decided to slow down. It was at this time that he made what he calls one of his best decisions ever. He closed his studio and decided to take some time off.
After a short sabbatical, Joseph re-entered the photography field fully versed in the new technologies. These technologies fueled a renewed passion for his craft.
Although still high in demand, Joseph limits his workload to just a few weddings per year, along with a few family sittings per season. Joseph now focuses more on events and sports.
